CCPS Associate

Audrey E. Kharem, Ph.D.

Whether she's teaching about cultural diversity in the workplace, training other educators or doing administrative work, Dr. Kharem's aim is to provide a multidimensional framework for understanding differences. As a counselor and consultant, Dr. Kharem has also worked with professionals nationwide to increase their awareness and broaden their perspectives to help dissolve barriers that directly affect student's progress. In August of 2002, Dr. Kharem represented Penn State University at the University of Durban Westville in Durban, South Africa to assist their faculty with developing a program to increase the retention and graduation rates of their undergraduate students. Dr. Kharem's research interest focuses on issues that impact retention of marginalized students as reflected in her publications.
