Monique Faulk's varied hands-on and classroom experiences have magnified the value of appreciating diversity and promoting leadership among different groups. Whereas her education in Psychology, Human Development, and Family Studies has taught her to be sensitive to individuals' needs and abilities, her hands-on experience working with university clubs/organizations and departments has provided her with opportunities to apply those teachings and to learn the value of group cohesion. In addition, her positions in office settings and leadership roles have prepared her to be a trustworthy, "go-to" person on the CCPS team.

Monique is interested in the relationship between adolescents' participation in community-based activities (e.g., extracurricular activities, after-school programs, athletics) and the way children and adolescents develop their identities, construct attitudes toward others, and learn strategies to face challenges.
